SYNOPSIS: Northern Chile, late nineties. The disappearance of a dozen young people in the commune of Alto Hospicio triggers one of the most shocking police cases in national history. The official version speaks of young women running away from broken homes and an underworld of trafficking and white slavery, but the case hides a perhaps worse horror: a serial killer who remains unpunished due to the negligence of the authorities.

Inspired by real events, during the development of the series, we will see how the search of police captain César Rojas to find the truth behind the disappearance of the young women builds the portrait of a small town and its inhabitants hit by tragedy, following the stories of families confronted by authorities who do not listen to them, investigators who try to find culprits despite the little interest of the institutions in clarifying the cases, and a murderer who, in search of lonely teenagers, unable to stop his impulses through the sands of the driest desert in the world.
