SYNOPSIS: Bruno Montt is a renown marine captain who became a widower 5 years ago, and since then has been completely devoted to raising four children with rigor and discipline. But this responsibility has not been easy. Despite the huge efforts he makes to be a good father, he understands his children need a mother. It is then when Violeta, the daughter of the Montt´s butler, arrives in the Montt´s house as a tornado, breaking all the rules that Bruno has imposed, teaching them there is a different way to live, and, at the same time awakening feelings this man had forgotten behind all that rigidity and fragility. Separately, Bruno Montt thinks he sees in Rosario, his secretary, the perfect candidate to become the mother of his children, although he ignores than in reality, she is a social climber who only cares about luxury and the good life.

Between two opposite poles, Bruno will be confronted to follow life´s most important rule: to follow your heart.

However, the peaceful pace of the countryside will not only give back Nicolás his life but make it a better one and more entertaining one, and he will even find new love, twice, when he finds himself in a love triangle between two powerful enemies from the region, Carola García del Río, the glamorous Major, and the noncommissioned police officer, Patricia Flores. Both are totally different, but with one common characteristic: they are the total opposite of the style of the woman from the capital who Nicolás is usually attracted to, which is why they are the strongest candidates to steal his heart.
