Turkish production company Inter Medya and distributor MGE revealed details of their first co-production, Amor y Orgullo, during Content Americas 2024, the result of their partnership announced last November.

Distributor Mega Global Entertainment (MGE) announced this Tuesday at Content Americas an expansion of its strategy to focus not only on the distribution of finished content, but also on the development of original stories, the pursuit of strategic alliances, and co-production agreements.

The established content distributor is expanding its reach, integrating the development of original stories and the international negotiation of strategic alliances for the financing and co-production of audiovisual projects, such as the recently announced agreement with Inter Medya.

MGE, the independent distributor led by Esperanza Garay, arrives at Content Americas with a positive 2022 balance sheet, which includes: international growth for Megamedia’s catalog, record sales for SBS Korea’s offering, and the introduction of Mediaset Distribution content into the U.S. Hispanic market.

Mega Global Entertainment (MGE) is participating in MIPCOM with a diverse catalogue that includes the International Emmy Award-nominated series ISABEL and four new content additions to the catalogue of audience leader Megamedia: the major period production Los Hijos del Desierto, the dramedy La Ley de Baltazar, Amar Profundo and Quiero Vivir, the latter being TVI Portugal’s adaptation of the script for Casa de Muñecos, originally from Megamedia Chile.

The biographical series «ISABEL,» based on the life of the world’s most widely read Spanish-language author, Isabel Allende, originally from Megamedia Chile and distributed by MGE, has been nominated in the TV Movie/Series category at the International Emmy Awards, the television industry’s highest honor. The awards ceremony will take place on November 21 in New York.
