«Isabel: The Intimate Story of the Author Isabel Allende» is a biographical series that tells the story of the Latin American writer, produced by Megamedia Chile, distributed by MGE, executive produced by Isabel Miquel, directed by Rodrigo Bazaes, and written by Jonathan Cuchacovich, and which Lifetime will premiere on its screen next Friday, July 29, Saturday, July 30, and Sunday, July 31, at 10 PM MEX-VEN / 9 PM COL / 10 PM CHI / 11 PM ARG.

The original scripts for the series «María: La Mexicana» and «El Doctor de los Milagros,» created by Rebeca Solano and José R. Pérez respectively, in addition to the format of the SBS original Korean telenovela, «Escalera al Cielo,» are the three content acquired by Telemundo Studios that are part of the new programming announced during its most recent upfront.

Daniela Ramírez won the 2022 Platino Award for Ibero-American Film and Audiovisual Production in the category of Best Female Performance in a Miniseries for her role as Isabel Allende in the miniseries «Isabel,» produced by Megamedia Chile and distributed internationally by MGE (Mega Global Entertainment). The miniseries focuses on one of the most significant stages of the renowned Hispanic writer’s life.

The audiovisual content distributor MGE announced this Tuesday that NBCUniversal has acquired the medical drama «Cruzando los límites» from Mediaset Distribution for broadcast in the U.S. Hispanic market through its digital channels, including Telemundo Plus and the Peacock platform.

Megamedia Chile’s original biographical series, «ISABEL,» based on the life of Chilean author Isabel Allende, and the Colombian film «Hero’s Soul,» directed by Orlando Pardo, both distributed internationally by MGE, are part of the selection of the 36th Ibero-Latin American Festival of Trieste, Italy, which takes place from today until November 13, and where they will be competing in the Film and Literature, and Contemporary categories, respectively.

The original series «The Guardians,» created by Altirosapiens in co-production with Megamedia Chile, financed by Corfo and the National Television Council of Chile (CNTV), and distributed internationally by MGE, has been acquired by WarnerMedia Latin America exclusively for HBO Max, where it will soon stream.

The distributor Mega Global Entertainment (MGE) is in luck. This year, the company, led by Esperanza Garay, is celebrating the participation of the series «No nos quieren ver» in Iberseries Platino Industria, as well as the participation of the bioseries «Isabel» in Serializados Fest, on October 24 in Barcelona. And, as if that weren’t enough, it also has the International Emmy Award nomination for «Quer o Destino,» TVI Portugal’s remake of the telenovela «Amanda,» originally from Megamedia Chile.

Megamedia and MGE announce a significant agreement with WarnerMedia Latin America to make the television series «Pobre Novio» (Poor Guy) available on the HBO Max streaming platform throughout Latin America.

The Colombian film «Hero’s Soul,» directed by Orlando Pardo and distributed internationally by MGE, was the most-watched film at the recent Latin American Film Festival of Australia (LAFF), captivating 80% of the audience. This year’s selection featured 10 films that truly represented Latin America, and the Festival was held virtually through the streaming platform SBS On Demand, from its opening in February until last April.

With three chapters of approximately one hour in length, «ISABEL,» produced by Megamedia and distributed by MGE, will be available starting June 4 exclusively on Amazon Prime Video throughout Latin America and in Chile on open television through Mega TV.
