HBO Max announced the acquisition of the US streaming rights to Megamedia’s Chilean miniseries, Isabel. The three-episode miniseries, produced by Megamedia and distributed by MGE, based on the life of Isabel Allende, will debut on the OTT platform in the US on Friday, March 12.

At the end of September, Castalia Communications Corporation, in partnership with the Mexican investment fund Innokap, launched Europa+ (Europa Más) in Latin America and the Caribbean, an OTT platform specializing in European content. Now, distributor MGE (Mega Global Entertainment) has announced an agreement with the platform to include eleven series from Mediaset Italia’s catalog.

Mediaset Distribution, the distribution partner of MGE in Europe, and TVI announced that the local adaptation of “Amanda” (160 episodes) will be aired in Portugal in March with the title of “Quer o Destino?”. This new version will be produced by Plural Entertainment and broadcasted by the commercial channel Televisão Independente (TVI).

The latest drama «Juegos de poder,» the second season of «Verdades Ocultas,» and «Isla Paraíso» are part of Mega Global Entertainment’s lineup during this year’s LA Screenings, as the company celebrates its first anniversary. The three Mega productions currently airing consolidate their ratings leadership on the Chilean channel, as is the case with «Verdades Ocultas,» the most-watched soap opera in the history of local television in the afternoon slot, giving them great opportunities to expand to other territories.

MGE, the distributor led by Esperanza Garay and operating for just eight months, opened Natpe with an event showcasing the most notable content from Megamedia in Chile, as well as from Mediaset in Italy, SBS in Korea, and Zona A in Colombia.

Mega Global Entertainment (MGE), the new distributor founded by Esperanza Garay and Mega Chile, will debut at the LA Screenings. The company will market the Chilean channel’s content, which includes series such as «Pituca sin lucas,» «Papá a la deriva,» «Sres. Papis,» and «Perdona Nuestros Sins»; as well as reality shows such as «Amor a prueba,» «Qué volverías con tu ex?», and «Doble tentación.»
